Full Licence options

RSJ&A Motorcycle Training Full Licence options

A1 Light Licence
Taken on a motorcycle between 75cc and 120cc. This option restricts riders to any bike up to a 125cc and a power output of 11 kW. You can carry passengers and ride on motorways.

A2 Standard Licence
Taken on a 125cc motorcycle, allows the rider to ride any size bike that has been restricted down to 33bhp (25kw). This restriction is in place for 2 years after which the restriction kit can be removed. You can carry passengers and ride on motorways.

A Licence (Unrestricted Direct Access)
Riders aged 21 or over can bypass the 2-year restriction by passing their test on a motorcycle of at least 35kw (46.6bhp), can carry passengers and ride on motorways.

Accelerated Access
Riders who reach the age of 21 whilst still within the period off being restricted to 33bhp can pass a further test on a motorcycle of at least 46.6bhp to ride larger motorcycles without a restriction.
