Established in May 1997, we have conducted 5000 plus CBT's and well over 2000 people have passed their full motorcycle test with us. We are the most experienced and the only purpose built training centre in the area. RSJ offer a wide range of tailor-made courses to suit your individual needs ranging from Novice to Experienced rider training. We pride ourselves in giving the highest degree of instruction possible, whilst maintaining our RENOWNED RELAXED and FRIENDLY atmosphere.
Our Location allows Novice trainees to familiarise Themselves with the motorcycle and gain confidence on quieter roads before being integrated into mainstream traffic. As we are only minutes away from the main test area maximum familiarity with test routes is ensured.

LICENCE ENTITLEMENTS
Provisional Licence 16 yrs - At 16 years of age your provisional licence enables you to ride a moped (49cc) with (L) Plates but this must be validated with a CBT Certificate.
Provisional Licence 17yrs and over - This will enable you to ride a Motorcycle not exceeding 125 cc providing that you have provisional motorcycle entitlement (category A). You must keep the (L) Plates on and validate with a CBT Certificate.
Full Licence Certificate - Enables you to ride a motorcycle not exceeding 125cc with (L) Plates providing you validate provisional catagory A with a CBT certificate. This also allows full Moped entitlement, although anyone obtaining a licence on or after 1/02/01 must validate with a CBT certificate |

THEORY TEST
All licence holders must pass the motorcycle theory test before going on to do a practical test. There are multiple choice questions and a hazard perception test.

LICENCE OPTIONS
A1 Light Licence - Taken on a Motorcycle between 75cc and 120cc. Once passed this licence allows full entitlement for any motorcycle up to 125cc
A2 Licence (Restricted) - Once passed you have a full Motorcycle licence, but the holder is restricted to a 25kw (33BHP) motorcycle for the first two years
A Licence (Full) - Riders aged 21 years and over can bypass the above 2 year restriction by passing the test on a Motorcycle of at least 35kw (46.6 BHP). This is known as DIRECT ACESS |

OUR TRAINING COURSES
CBT - Compulsory Basic Training
CBT is an assessment course normally completed in 1 day. Consisting of 5 elements in both practical and theory sessions all must be completed to the instructors satisfaction before a certificate of completion can be issued.

FULL LICENCE COURSES
A1 / A2 / A (FROM 2 TO 4 DAY COURSES)
The most popular way of obtaining your full motorcycle licence.
The length of your course will depend on the motorcycle experience you have.
At the end of your CBT course (OR ASSESSMENT), an instructor will advise you how many days are needed to develop the techniques and standards required to take the pursuit test with a DSA examiner.
Tailored training can be arranged to revolve around work/ personal commitments.
All courses include bike hire, equipment, radio communications, test fee and insurance
